Station

Transportation and Travel give us experiences of other time and space. As a medium to connect different time and place, terminals, ports, airports are coming to us as specialty of new challenges and changes.

 

Crack

Cracks between the independent spaces evoke our curiosity and interest in the space beyond that crack. So crack a mediator between space, it is the momentum that moves people to the other side. A crack provides beautiful possibilities.

 

Station 20

The proposal clearly defines Station20 as underground space. The space under the ground and the space on the ground are completely separate space. Making the crack between these spaces can Communication & Interference of spaces. Light and visual information coming through the crack are also reflected through the ceiling and the floor and then fades the boundary among floor, wall, and ceiling. Through the effect of the cracks, the users are experiencing confusion to recognize of time and space component. The design for Station20 arouses to people the philosophical implications of the movement and place in this process. At the same time commemorates the significance of the construction of history.

역사

교통과 여행은 우리를 다른 시간과 공간의 경험을 제공해 준다. 다른 시간과 장소를 연결하는 매개체로서 역사, 터미널, 항구, 공항은 우리에게 새로운 도전과 변화의 특별함으로 다가온다.

 

균열

독립된 공간들 사이의 균열은 그 균열 건너의 공간에 대한 우리의 궁금증과 흥미를 불러 일으킨다. 그래서 균열은 공간 사이의  매개체이자 사람들을 건너편으로 움직이게 하는 원동력이 된다. 하나의 균열은 아름다운 가능성을 제공한다.

 

Station 20

계획안은 지하공간으로서 Station20을 분명히한다. 지상의 공간과 지하의 공간은 완전히 분리된 공간이다. 이런 독립된 지상 지하의 공간들 사이에 균열을 만들어 내는 과정을 통해 공간들사이의 소통과 간셥을 이끌어 낼수 있다. 또한 균열을 통해 유입되는 빛과 시각적 정보들은 천정과 바닥을 통해 반사되고 벽과 바닥의 천장 경계는 희미해진다. 균열의 효과를 통해 사용자들은 시간과 공간을 인지하는 요소들의 혼돈을 경험한다. Station20의 디자인은 이런 과정을 통해 여행자에게 이동과 장소의 철학적 의미를 환기 시키다. 동시에 역사라는 건축의 의미를 되새기게 한다.
